Tokyo, Japan \u2013 March 26, 2026 \u2013 the Japanese consultancy firm within the NTT DATA group, Fortience Consulting Inc. (formerly known as QUNIE CORPORATION; Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shigeki Yamaguchi, hereinafter Fortience) announced that, as a member of the Not-for-Profit Organization Japan Environment Club*\u00b9\u2019s Decarbonization Study Group for the Software Sector (hereinafter the \u201cSoftware Sector Decarbonization Study Group\u201d), it has participated in the development and publication of CO\u2082 emissions calculation rules covering the entire lifecycle of software products*\u00b2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By applying these calculation rules, CO\u2082 emissions associated with the development, operation, and disposal of software products can be calculated and evaluated in accordance with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry\u2019s Carbon Footprint Guideline*\u00b3. This enables organizations to formulate and execute strategies aimed at minimizing CO\u2082 emissions attributable to software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fortience will continue to promote initiatives that contribute to the reduction of CO\u2082 emissions in the software sector as well as across the entire supply chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
