Logistics Transformation

Since the so called “2024 Logistics Issues”, Japan’s logistics environment has continued to face increasing pressures. The magnitude of these changes can no longer be addressed solely by logistics departments or logistics service providers. Due to amendments to the Act on Advancement of Integration and Streamlining of Distribution Business, designated businesses that handle cargo volumes above a specified threshold are required to appoint a Chief Logistics Officer (CLO), underscoring that logistics has become an increasingly important strategic management issue.
Drawing on extensive experience supporting both shippers and logistics companies, we view logistics transformation not as an effort confined to a single organization, but as an end-to-end reform spanning consignors, logistics providers, and consignees. We move beyond addressing only the issues of shippers or logistics providers, focusing instead on optimizing the entire logistics ecosystem to deliver sustainable transformation.
